Why I use it ?

At the moment, I use S3 to store my backups offsite. This provides additionnal security in case some physical disaster (tornado, hurricane, alien invasion...) happens at my house.

The pricing is reasonnable for the low amount of data I store and retrieve each month.

Software

I use Tim Kay's aws to do all my S3 operations. Development is very active and feedback is always welcome.

Storage Organization

For now, I have only one bucket, john-smith, and all my backups have a backup/ path prefix.
